Texas Ebony forest day 9 close-up

I have concerns about the 'browning' of the trunks on some of them near the base, but I'll let time figure out if it's natural progression or degeneration. I may have chosen a conifer soil mix when I needed a deciduous mix (which requires more organic matter).
