Red Coral Necklace

These 14mm red coral 'pearls' are really nice, and quite expensive at $50 for a 15" strand. I decided to let them show their beauty in simplicity. I didn't have enough to make a regular necklace, and I knew that putting knots between them would not only space them into a long enough necklace, they would also protect them from 'riding' each other. I hand knotted them on "Stringth" brand cord, which is like kite string but thinner and waxed, it also has a very high tensile strength at 35lbs.

~when I stripped the wax off a section, it seemed like silk but a much heavier braid and very strong, I have no worries on the longevity of this necklace.
